Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a non-traditional Valentine card (no reds or pinks).

I got this! Having fun with this number –

Not having fun photographing all the metallics here! Lol!

I wasn’t sure what I was going to create. I just started cutting things!

First cut was the heart in the Sahara Sand Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper using the Be Mine Stitched Dies.

Next was the Silver Foil Always and Love sentiments. They needed grounding. I cut the outline out in Blackberry Bliss. Both of these came from the Always Dies.

I had a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle ready to go. I added a Greenery Embossing Folder panel.

Things came together as I added the Oh So Ombre strip and the Playing With Patterns Resin Dots.

What do you think? Personally, I LOVE IT!!!!

Happy B-Day Oh So Ombre

Hello!

Welcome to another fabulous set of Oh So Ombre cards!

I just can not quite playing with this fabulous paper from Sale-a-bration!!!!

I followed a sketch from the catalog today –

And I used my favorite, again, the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper –

Along with the must have, Happiest of Birthdays, stamp set. It is one of my favorites!

I was able to create all four cards from only two sheets of each pattern in the Designer Series Paper on this pack! Super quick and easy to make a bunch of these in no time!

I cut the strips and used every other one for front of the card. The remaining, another color, for the back.

When I cut the dotted center panel, same thing. I used one side for one card, the other, flipped for the back.

I stamped the same sentiment on all the cards in the same color ink as the base. I trimmed them closely, but all the same size, after stamping.

The small balloons are punched from the Balloon Builder Punch just randomly from scraps.

After the past few days, I have several cards to sent out for upcoming occasions! So excited!

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – Something New

Hello! Thank you for joining my third blog hop for today!

Welcome to a newly formed group of talented stampers for –

Our theme this month is anything new from Stampin’ Up!. Perfect as we just came out with the January to June Mini and the Sale-a-bration Mini!

I am mixing something from both catalogs today!

Four cards using the Happy Thoughts stamp set and the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper.

Look up close at each card and the details. Each card is the same layout.

The panel of pattern paper is embossed with the new Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiments are all from the Happy Thoughts stamp set stamped in Basic Gray, punched with the Tailored Tag Punch.

Behind the sentiment is a solid color punch from the Label Me Lovely Punch. It helps to ‘ground’ the Basic White sentiment.

Lastly, the cards are finished off with a swirl of Gray Granite 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon behind the punches. The ribbon and the Pastel Pearls tie in the Basic Gray sentiment.

I’d love to know what you think of these cards. They were lots of fun to design!

Hello! Happy Saturday!

Welcome the the second of three blog hops for me today!

Our theme this hop around is anything new from Stampin’ Up!. Sooooo how about new stuff from the January to June Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration Mini?

I went with the You Are Amazing stamp set along with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper –

I had a difficult time deciding just which pattern to go with, so I used all eight in the pack to create a sweet set of birthday cards –

I also added the sentiment from You Are Amazing stamped in the same color as the card stock.

I made each card the exact same. This will make a perfect gift set for someone or I might just mail them out this month. Lots of January birthdays!

After stamping, I punched the sentiments out and backed them with a die cut Silver Foil scalloped circle.

The strip under the sentiment was a scrap from another set of cards I created with this paper. I use everything! Lol!

I punched the balloons from the Balloon Bouquet Punch in the exact same spot on each piece of pattern paper to get the same variation.

To tie in the Silver Foil, I added the Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the cards.

These are just so sweet!!!

Fun Fold Fridays – Slide Up / Pop Up Gift Card Holder

Yessssss, Friday! And the second week in my new Fun Fold Fridays!

I’m featuring a slide up or pop up gift card holder. Not sure what this fold is actually called, but for now, this will work!

I’ve seen this version in a vertical version all the time, but not a horizontal one. I created one a few weeks ago here, but didn’t include a tutorial until today.

Here is a sweet little birthday card using some new stuff! This is the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper that can be earned free during Sale-a-bration –

Notice the (absent) gift card that would ‘pop up’ in the pocket?

This is the sweet pattern paper I used –

Here is how I did it –

Yes, my Green Paper Tutorials!

Directions for basic card with fold :

Base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 1 1/2″, 5 3/4″
Insert – 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 1/2″, 4″
on slide up, apply strong adhesive, like Tear & Tape, to 1/2″ strip
fold 1/2″ strip back
fold up bottom panel, set aside
on card base, use a strong adhesive on lower edges
fold score lines, top panel folds down, bottom panel folds up
place insert panel on top of card base, remove liner on insert
close card
the top of the card will ‘catch’ the top of the insert panel
open card
fold up insert
fold up card base over insert, open back up
remover liners
fold up card bottom panel enclosing the the insert
close top, then open to make insert slide up!
decorate as you like

Pretty cool, huh? I’ll venture to do a Facebook Live for this fold. It is really super easy, but I know some are visual, some are tactile.
