Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

We’ve been ‘CASEing’ the new Stampin’ Up catalog for a few weeks now because there are soo many great ideas within its pages!

Here is our last catalog image to be inspired by –

Quite a pretty image!

I really felt the urge to use the (formerly known as) Oh So Eclectic Bundle.

The image shows light stamping behind the main focal point. I thought the dies from the Eclectic layers were perfect as they emboss leaving a slight image, not cut! So it makes a nice impression on the card.

I also stamped the little plus signs too in the background.

I love how this card turned out. It’s not my typical style….but, sometimes we need to step out of our design box! I think it’ll be a big hit.

Coffee & a Cupcake

Got time for a cup of coffee and a cupcake for Create with Connie and Mary?

We have a new sketch starting today and I bet you have time for this kind of coffee and cupcake –

I used the Coffee Cafe bundle again. You can’t go wrong with this set at all. The background squares were just cut out, nothing fancy.

Back to our Saturday Blog Hop. Our theme this week is Black and white.

This is perfect because I love to create in black and white. I went with a favorite bundle of mine –

The Oh So Eclectic Bundle. Isn’t this just the prettiest? Although it’s monochromatic, it’s still so cheerful!

The focal point and the leaves are all popped up! The Mini-sized Dimensionals sure came in handy behind the leaves. They are so tiny! No more cutting them in half!

Eclectically Missing You

It Thursday. You know what that means. Time for an awesome challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.

We are doing things a bit different for a few weeks as you can see. We have a neat sketch from the catalog to spark the creativity. You go with the layout or the colors in the above picture.

I went with the layout –

I am totally loving this Oh So Eclectic Bundle! The watercolor pattern paper is called Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper – matches perfectly! It’s part of the suite of products that all coordinate!!

The flag sits upon a an embossed layer made from the new Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder. It’s really cool in that it makes different heights of leaves on the paper that is embossed.

I stamped the flower image and then framelit cut it out. Made for a really pretty flower without cutting out the whole thing – there is a separate shape to do that! The sentiment is also in the set too!

Time for a fun blog hop with Create with Connie and Mary!

Our theme this week is ‘Favorite In-Color’. I have to think, really? These colors this year are all my favorite!!!

So, I just chose one of the colors and created a card. I went with Fresh Fig.

It’s a sweet card that uses new products. New colors. New stamps. New framelits.

These Eclectic Layers Thinlits are just that. Eclectic. Out there. It’s the interesting pattern background, the flower cutout and the leaves, and so many more shapes too!
