I am so in love with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. I just can’t seem to make enough of these little gems.
I got some of the new Sale-a-Bration vellum in, Sheer Perfection. So lovely! I was draw to this one pattern in particular, the one with a wild flower like pattern over most of the vellum. It looked wedding-ish, especially paired with the Butterflies Thinlits.
I saw this sketch from an old favorite of mine, Freshly Made Sketches. I could just picture the Mini Treat Bag already…..
See what I mean?
I was already going in the black and white direction before I saw this color challenge at colourQ –
Perfect. I loved these colors. Very elegant, spring-like, fresh and modern wedding I thought.
This is how I incorporated all my ideas –
I like to create a pull out card to really tie everything together. I added some stampin here too –
This could hold a gift card or a nice message. I purposely stapled the (retired) ribbon off center, above the vellum strip – just a little detail. Details add so much to a project.
TIP – If you are using the Butterflies Thinlits die, or any other intricate thin metal die, I highly recommend this ‘sandwich’ in your Big Shot. Platform, clear plate, unscented cheap dryer sheet, card stock, metal die (cut side down), the top clear plate. Run it through the Big Shot as usual. When finished, the metal die will pop off. The paper cut out should remove or peel easily away from the dryer sheet leaving all the little intricate pieces stuck to the dryer sheet! It really is magical. I was a skeptic before I tried it too.
Please let me know what you think about my project today. It really is lovely, isn’t it?
Happy Stampin’
