Hello, welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a Christmas Favor.

I needed quick, sweet gifts for the vet staff for Mr. Cranston –

He is such a sweetheart and has won several hearts at their office! So I just had to create something special!

I came up with these –

I made little relaxation kits in our Acetate Card Boxes using the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley pattern paper.

Aren’t these soo cute? I put some bath salts, tea light candles, and wrapped chocolates in the box.

To make the sentiment, Meowy & Bright, I used the Make A Difference stamp set. I love how the letters are all individual so you can spell whatever you need.

I punched the cat and added a bow.

It did take me a bit to create the design, but once I did, I went into production!

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features Back to School!

Not sure what its looking like in your area, but here its all over the map with when school starts and how, distance learning or in person classes….I feel for the teachers.

Here is something just for the teachers –

I wanted to use the Nothings Better Than bundle. I started with stamping these 4 images from the Nothings Better Than stamp set, and colored them with Blends. I die cut them using the Love You More Than dies.

I also taped off and stamped the words, BECAUSE, and IS HARD. I stamped the word teacher using the letters from the Make A Difference stamp set. The size was perfect!

All the images I trimmed and punched using the Classic Label Punch.

I thought the layout of the tags in the Peek a Hoot Dies set were pretty cool so those became the frame for my goodies.

Pretty easy card that sums it for my teacher friends would you’d say?!?!?!

Trick or Treat Mummy

Happy two – post Tuesday to start the month of October off !

Here is one for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

A little double sketch inspiration for October!

I’m thinking something spooky, how about you?

How about something for your mummy?

Our mummies like to receive cards too! Lol!

This was a really fun card to come up with!

The Monster Bash Designer Series Paper is perfect for Halloween! One of the patterns is all little portraits. I choose three mummies, fussy cut them, and lined them up on a coordinating patterned paper.

I stamped TRICK or TREAT from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. It has several wonderful, unique sentiments. The word ‘mummy’ was created from the Make a Difference stamp set.

All of this was placed on a Pumpkin Pie card base! Great card for any mum, mom or momma!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Mother’s Day

Yippee! It’s Friday! And, a blog hop!

Our theme this month is Mother’s Day.

I designed a card perfect to send out to all of our friends who do it all –

…..with a little help from coffee!

I really love the Strong & Beautiful stamp set. All the words are just what you really want to say.

But, for this card, I felt I needed to add the additional coffee sentiment! So many of us run on lots of coffee these days!

I added it with the Make a Difference stamp set and the Stamparatus. As you can see, it stamped perfectly! Every other letter was on two plates to get them so close.

I had this card on my April Card Buffet and it was a total hit. They loved the use of the double plates on the Stamparatus.

I will really miss the Coffee Cafe stamp as well. It paired nicely with the All My Love Designer Series Paper for this card. Guess I should make up lots of these cards to use up all this paper and get my fill of this stamp set!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Subtle Color

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our favorite Subtles color.

Well…..I have several. First off, Soft Sea Foam –

It’s a wonderful neutral color to me, although it’s in the Subtles family. I use for card bases quite often.

And, I really like Highland Heather and So Saffron is always a classic!

I loved combining all these to create a simple, yet elegant Easter card using the Florentine Thinlits in an unexpected way, a cross!

The hardest part about this card was stamping the letters to create my sentiment. And then realizing that I would have to fussy cut the whole banner although there are coordinating framelits!

Directions –

Soft Sea Foam base, 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
Soft Sea Foam layer, 3 3/4 x 5
emboss layer with Layered Leaves, set aside
use Florentine Thinlits and cut 2 in Highland Heather (save outer frame) and the other on So Saffron (save interior pieces)

cut ‘cross’ according to diagram

flip over, add So Saffron pieces inside (upside down from cutting) cross & secure, I used tape

set cross aside
stamp sentiment banner in Soft Sea Foam
stamp letters using the Make a Difference alphabet in Gray Granite
framelit cut or hand cut depending on your phrase, here, I hand cut as my letters hung down a bit below the cutting line
adhere embossed Soft Sea Foam layer using Dimensionals
adhere cross in center using Dimensionals
adhere banner around cross
done!

“Candle in the Wind” – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to another song filled Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features the 90’s song, Candle in the Wind, and birthdays!

This couldn’t have come at a better time as several of my friends are having milestone birthdays in the near future!

I just had to run with this one –

I started out with creating this background using the Make a Difference stamp set. If you haven’t seen it, you really should take a close look at it. It contains 143 stamps including, the alphabet, upper and lower case, numbers, punctuation, words, symbols – you just have to take a look at it! (Page 178 of the catalog.)

I built the card from there. I am a big fan of these colors, as you can probably tell!

The hats are die cut from the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper using the coordinating Broadway Lights Framelits. I chose the ones that matched my colors on the card.

Celebrate sentiment is from Celebrate You thinlits as well.
