Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest layout challenge –

I took the layout and flipped it for my card –

And here is how I used it –

Simply pretty! Lots of feels in this card.

I hadn’t played with this Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper* much since I got it. Not sure why, it is soo pretty and now it is retiring!

I like the subtle colors in this paper. Perfect for a sympathy card.

The sentiment is from a new stamp set, Inspired Thoughts –

Sympathy cards are never anything we want to make. I’ll feature this on my Card Buffet this weekend so one will be ready when needed. (Sidenote : I am soo excited to be hosting in person classes again! I’ve missed my stampin’ friends!)

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

We have a great new two week sketch for you today –

Optional Theme : Embossing

We are also pairing up with Double Trouble for an added challenge to the twist! Check out the twist!

I am personally challenging myself to using the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper* this week! It is retiring soon and I just haven’t played with it much. Just look how pretty it is –

And, this is how the sketch and paper coe together –

Simply beautiful wouldn’t you say?

I found a pretty bouquet of flowers from one of the patterns and fussy cut it. I found a coordinating or contrasting pattern to place it upon. Before I did, I embossed it with one of the Stitched With Whimsy Dies turned like the sketch.

I added the flower bouquet using dimensionals. I also embossed the card base using the largest Stitched With Whimsy Die creating a subtle border.

These are a favorite of mine – they turn a plain card into a wow card! Easily!

Happy Monday!

Time for another great challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge –

Here is my Design Team card –

I decided to play with this soon-to-retire Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper* this week! It is soo pretty and I just did not take the time to enjoy it.

For my diagonal in the sketch, I cut a piece (that I like both sides), 5″ x 4 3/4″. I made note of which area would be the focal corner and cut from point to point. I flipped one creating the criss cross on the card.

It is not a pocket card, although it could have been that way. The back piece is also a piece of pattern paper!

The flower head was cut from another piece of pattern paper in the pack, as well as the tag. See how pretty all the papers are?? The sentiment came from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set in the bundle. It stamps quite crisp and clear for such a tiny stamp!

Just admiring this card one more time, lol!
