Easter Egg Easter Wishes

Hello Thursday!

Welcome to our newest challenge from Create with Connie and Mary –

Doesn’t this look like a fun one to try –

I enjoyed the challenge creating an Easter card –

I really had a lot of fun with this card.

Can you guess what I used to create my eggs? Think about it….

I used the Basket Weave for the background.

The stamp set is from the Sale-a-bration Coordination items called, More Than Words, (only available until March 31).

I created the ‘died Easter eggs’ using various patterns from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.

Did you figure out what I used??

Ok, ok . . . .I used the Balloon Bouquet punch! I cut off the tie little part, keeping the overall shape. To me it looks like an egg now, not a balloon! Wouldn’t you agree?

I hope that I have inspired you to think outside the box with your Balloon Bouquet punch and create something!

Sweet Celebration

I am gearing up for a Card Buffet this weekend! Beforehand, I create cards for potential choices on the Buffet. I look for inspiration in sketches and challenges to help me do that.

I found that from Fab Friday from this sketch –

I love the simplicity of their sketches!

I created this simple design using the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper –

The colored lines in this pattern are perfect spacing for the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, Sweetest Thing.

I stamped them repeatedly in Bermuda Bay. It was easy because this is a photopolymer stamp. You can see where you are stamping in reference to the lines! Just don’t ink it up too much!

The higher portion was stamped on a strip of Coastal Cabana close to the left edge. I did this so that the ‘Make it a’ was not on the strip. Taping that section off when inking up the stamp would have worked too.

I am in love with this card! It is bright. It is fun. It is simple. It is festive.

Sweet Birthday Candy

Happy Tuesday Try Stampin’ on Tuesday! I have a fun card for you today!

Here are our two sketches –

I went with just a sketch this time creating this sweet number –

Soo cute! I used some of the products from the How Sweet It Is Suite to create this card!

The cupcake and candy pieces are from one of the patterns of Designer Series Paper. I cut them out by hand, of course! I placed them on top of various Galvanized Metallic circles.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Sweetest Thing stamp set. I used the Stamparatus to stamp it down the left side of the card! Stamps perfect, every time!

The Stampapratus has hinges all the way down, so placing the stamp in the spot you want it and moving the plate down creates this look!

Happy Tuesday!

It is a new year and what better time to get back into the grove of design team regular posts!?!? I’ll start with with a card designed for Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and our latest two week challenge –

Great time to use the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper again!

Fits the bill for bold and bright, doesn’t it?

The repeated stamped sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Sweetest Thing. It is quite easy to stamp because the stamp is photopolymer (clear) and the paper is lined. I did this without the use of the Stamparatus!

I’ve been playing with new stuff and trying to get that creative energy back after the holidays!

I just absolutely love this Designer Series Paper in the new mini catalog, How Sweet It Is.

I ran across a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches –

…and it was a perfect combination for this –

Just adorable! And, no stamping! Wow! The sentiment is from another love of mine, the Well Written Thinlits.

The jar is from the Jar of Sweets Framelits that coordinate with the Designer Series Paper. Conveniently, one of the pattered sheets are different jars that go with the framelits! No stamping or coloring required! Although, there are stamps in the set that go with the jars! I liked the ease of cut, create and go here!

Looking forward to more cards with this adorable How Sweet It it, suite of products.
