I am gearing up for a Card Buffet this weekend! Beforehand, I create cards for potential choices on the Buffet. I look for inspiration in sketches and challenges to help me do that.
I found that from Fab Friday from this sketch –
I love the simplicity of their sketches!
I created this simple design using the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper –
The colored lines in this pattern are perfect spacing for the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set, Sweetest Thing.
I stamped them repeatedly in Bermuda Bay. It was easy because this is a photopolymer stamp. You can see where you are stamping in reference to the lines! Just don’t ink it up too much!
The higher portion was stamped on a strip of Coastal Cabana close to the left edge. I did this so that the ‘Make it a’ was not on the strip. Taping that section off when inking up the stamp would have worked too.
I am in love with this card! It is bright. It is fun. It is simple. It is festive.
- Stamp Set – Sweetest Thing
- Card Stock – Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana
- Ink – Bermuda Bay
- DSP – How Sweet It Is

What a fantastic way to use that DSP!! I thought it was strips of cardstock at first! Wonderful interpretation of our sketch and a great way to make a long sentiment the star! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
