Here is my take on it –

Simple, using the Label Me Grateful Bundle along with Two-Tone Garden Green card stock.

I die cut the leaves on both sides to get the contrasting look look for my wreath.

The heartfelt sentiment is stamped on Basic Beige.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

Perfect fall colors!

It took me a couple of attempts to get this lovely fall leaf background using the Caring Leaves stamp set. It is a two-step stamp that stamps light and dark, beautifully! I added tiny light dots from the Snowy Wonder set in between the flowers to fill in the space.

However, once I finished it, I didn’t know how to use it! Ever have those days?

I went with a simple sentiment across the bottom that wouldn’t cover up too much.

It still needed something. Then I remembered the Jute Trim. That was it. Just a simple wrap around piece simply tied. I am happy with the finished card!

Simple stamping is not always so simple!

Pretty Fall Colors

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is pretty fall colors, or in my case, pretty elegant fall colors!

Isn’t this a beauty?

Where do I start?

I embossed Gold Foil with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. This folder also comes with dies, so I cut some leaves out and a strip for my sentiment too!

This sentiment says it all. So much so, I decided to add a vellum die cut heart behind it.

To compliment the gold, this Wild Wheat card base did the trick. The diamond pattern is also foiled as well.

All the textures are are just so wonderful here. All the textures of fall!

Our theme this week is masking technique on cards.

I had the fall feels when I created this –

I went with a basic masking technique where I placed a 3/4″ strip of Stampin’ Up Masking Paper across a piece of Basic White.

I used the Leaf Collection stamp set to show off the masking technique, by markering the stamp, then stamping it.

To fill in some of the areas, I used the pointed end of the marker to add details to the leaves. I even drew a dashed lines along the tape before removing it to define the two areas.

I was drawn to the sentiment from the Grateful Blessing stamp set. I stamped that in the masked area. A triple Linen Thread bow added a last little detail.

Try masking next time you stamp. It is fun! The results will surprise you!

I decided to use these colors in a simply stamped way –

I just repeated the words in alternating colors down the page!

Then I was like, now what?

I decided since it was a fall card, to back it on Mossy Meadow. But it still needed something……

A nice big fall leaf die cut! I adhered the base flat ans used Dimensionals to raise the leaf to see the shadow of the Mossy Meadow beneath.

A double twine bow and and some Speckled Dots finished the card off nicely!

I used the sentiment from the stamp set and I die cut four fall wreaths from the dies.

They layered so nice together! They were placed on a Paper Lattice piece that just added the right background to the wreath and sentiment.

I use this folder quite a bit. It is subtle and works with a variety of styles.
