Lol. funny title right?
As I’ve been telling you – showing you all week – cards that I designed and didn’t use for my Christmas Card Class – today it yet another share. I believe the last one too.
I had been collecting used well worn unscented dryer sheets for a while. Slightly annoying the husband. But, “hey, I can use that in a craft, right?”.
This is what I was going to create with those sheets –
A lovely card with a technique!
So very hard to see in this photo, but the dryer sheet is applied over the stamped image. While the glue is still tacky, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter is dumped onto the card and shaken off. It will stick to glue that has bled through the porous dryer sheet. The result is stunning in person. Very glittery in a subtle way.
I used one of our glue sticks rubbed all over the entire surface of the card then applied the dryer sheet. I quickly trimmed it before the glitter step. Clear as mud? Email me if so.
The finishing touch was the (retired) Cherry Cobbler Ribbon. This one has vanilla in the pattern, the current one has white. I preferred the subtleness of this vanilla.
I’d love to hear what you think. Reading comments makes my day. So far, I cleaned cat vomit (I didn’t know she could eat that much) and I spilled a green thick juice drink all over the kitchen! Sigh…..
Happy Stampin’
