Here is our newest two week challenge to inspire you –

Optional Theme : Plaid / Checks / Gingham

I have a simple, but elegant share today –

I used two Sale-a-bration items on this card, the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper and the, sold out, Be Dazzling Specialty Paper –

I placed the diagonal print with the lines going up and down for better placement against the diagonal check print.

I thought this looked way better for the design.

The sweet deer is from the Deer Builder Punch. Conveniently, one of the prints has deer that can be cut out with the punch!

The sweet sentiment is from Time Of Giving. I sure have used this stamp set alot!

I love the simplicity of this card! It’d be great for mass production too! What do you think?

Fun Fold Fridays – Double Gate Fold

We made it! Friday at last!

Got another nifty Fun Fold to use up some more of that paper hoard you have going there!

There are several versions of a Double Gate Fold out there. Here is a similar one I made back in January. This one is a bit different –

This paper makes this Gate Fold! I LOVE IT!

Here is how I created it –

Real Red ‘card’ base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
DSP strip is 5 1/4″ x 12″
score DSP at 2″, 4″, 8″, 10″
mark DSP 2″ from top down on each side
make a diagonal (45º) cut from outer scoreline to 2″ mark on each side (they will be opposite)
fold two inner score lines of DSP in
fold two outer score lines of DSP back (card panel should meet in the middle)
adhere removed piece at the bottom, flipped to reveal other side, to the bottom of the panel
Real Red front center, 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″
Basic White front center, 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
inside Basic White 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
adhere DSP ‘card’ to card base
adhere Basic White to inside
adhere Basic White to Real Red
adhere half Real Red on the side of card front
add deer, sentiment

So, what do you think? Pretty cool, huh?

How about a new challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to start your week off creativity!?!?

Here is our latest sketch to work from –

I love these type sketches. This one will go into my ‘go-to’ Pinterest board!

I used some Christmas Sale-a-bration paper for my card today. It’s the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper –

Here is how I used it –

So cute, right?

And, the deer on the front is cut out with a punch from the paper! The Deer Builder Punch –

He is already ready for you to punch out!

I added the sentiment from Words of Cheer stamp set –

The image I used is in the upper right. Since it is clear, I was able to see what I was inking up and and just inked the ‘Happy Christmas’ part before stamping it.
