Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I created a birthday ‘Bridge Card’ –

Bridge Card you ask? Let’s take a look –

As you lift the (first) front, you see this. Keep going –

Until you get to the inside!

Pretty cool, right? And it uses a standard card base too! I just added two additional cuts on the front to help create the bridge supports.

I used a variety of products starting with the Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper for the Happy Birthday die cuts. The fancy acetate is the Gold Celebrations, but I flipped it to the silver side. The pattern strips are from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. I added them to the sides of the bridge, flap, and inside.

Bye Bye – Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is retiring products we will miss.

Where do I begin? I am always very sad to see all these wonderful products retire, but equally as happy to see new products as join us! It keeps the creative juices going!

I am sad to be losing an unusual staple, these Stitched With Whimsy Dies –

Look closely at the card and you can see the dashed line on the right side –

They are sooo subtle but add just a little something to cards to elevate their look. I recommend grabbing them as they are marked down to $17.40, from $29. That is a huge savings!

Of course, this Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper is ~~retiring~~, sold out, as most DSP’s retire when a new catalog comes out.

I will also miss this newly acquired, Filled With Happiness stamp. I hardly had anytime to get to know it. It is pretty cool how the Modern Oval Punch fits so well with it. I recommend grabbing both this stamp and punch (not retiring) before they are not available.

The inside of this card is pretty nifty too –

All in all, this is simple a wonderful masculine or fish lover card! Wouldn’t you agree?

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

I love this sketch! So many great cards can be made with this one!

I chose to use it to play with a new Online Exclusive set, Pets & More –

Isn’t this just purrrrrfect?

To start with, I stamped the 4 cats in Gray Granite on Basic White.

I took an Ivory Stampin’ Blend and colored the cat each differently as no two cats are the same. I then hand cut each one. I used the sketch to lay them out on the Very Vanilla card base.

Hard to tell, but the strip along the bottom is a new color, Basic Beige. It will be available May 1st.

Thank You is a retiring sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set. I highly recommend ordering this NOW as it is marked down to just $12. It contains some of the best sentiments. I am very very sad it is retiring.

Lastly, I added little fancy collar ‘tags’ using the Festive Pearls. Just a little simple detail that really adds what the ~~cats~~ card needed.

In The Spotlight – Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is the spotlight technique!

I am glad! I haven’t done this technique in a long time! It was fun to revisit it. I did mine with a bit of a twist –

Instead of a circle, I used a heart!

I stamped the flower grouping in Sweet Sorbet on Basic White and set it aside. I stamped the flower grouping again in Black Memento on Sweet Sorbet. I figured out where I wanted the heart to be cut and cut it.

I layered the die cut heart over the same part on the initial flower grouping. It is real easy to do!

The base and sentiment of Pebbled Path created a bit of a masculine touch to the card. This way, I can use it for whoever in the future!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I decided to do some simple stamping –

This card features the Hooray For Surprises stamp set. I do not do a lot of simple stamping so I thought it’d be perfect with these colors! I love this cake that is ready to stamp!

The sentiment is pretty sweet too!

I love the delicate added flower in Berry Burst. Since the color is so bold, the Iridescent Pearls really soften the flowers on the cake.
