Monochromatic Christmas Wishes

Happy Monday!

It looks like the rest of the year is going to fly by. It always does. Creating and sharing slows things for me. How do you get through the holiday mayhem?

To spark my creating, I always look to challenges for inspiration. Today, I ran across the Joy of Sets and their latest Tic Tac Toe challenge –

Tic Tac Toes do really challenge me. But, not today! I looked at this board and knew exactly what I wanted to create –

I went with a straight line down on the board, CAS, Foil, and Monochrome. Score!!

It’s a beauty, isn’t it??

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the large image in Basic Gray. The center flower image and the outer leaves are all separate dies. I inked all those up in Smokey Slate, then stamped them. The way these stamps are made, it creates a natural shading with one stamp!

I die cut the image and placed it on a Silver Foil Edged Card. These help create quick cards with the silver detailing around the edge! The envelope even has silver around it as well!

I added the the sentiment in Real Red as well as the berries were colored with a Real Red Dark Blends marker.

Really easy to create several of these in no time!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Designer Series Paper

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our favorite Designer Series Paper.

Can you just guess what mine might be??? I’ve posted about and shared quite a few samples this past month!

I combined my favorite Designer Series Paper with the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folder –

It. Is. Beautiful. So. Gorgeous.

Yes, my favorite Designer Series Paper is this, Christmastime is Here Specialty!!!!

One paper in the pack is nothing but clusters of roses, one set can be cut with the dies, the other either fussy cut or what I did here. I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut most of the bunch. I layered that on on Gold Foil Embossed Frame that takes this over the top!

The Gold Frame is two parts. One is the actual oval frame shape that you die cut. The other is an oval embossed frame that creates an ornate design with the embossing.

I backed those two on a piece of the Designer Series Paper with gold running through pattern.

The best part of this paper? It is GREAT for cards because you still get 12 sheets in the pack. Only 3 patterns, so you you get 4 sheets of each!!! It is like a bulk buy!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop – Celebrate with Some Christmas Cheer

Happy November 1st!!

Time to kick the month off with a couple of blog hops!

I’ll start with –

The new Christmastime is Here Suite Bundle is now available for you to order! I am soo happy because the possibilities are endless with this suite!

Here are a couple of cards I created –

The first one has a really nifty fold when opened –

But, when closed (for mailing) looks just like any other card –

This card uses a 6×6 piece of designer series paper cut into panels for the folds in this card. The sentiment is stamped from the bundle and cut with the matching shaped die.

This gold foiled rose pattern would be perfect for a nonChristmas card too. Nothing hidden on it screams ‘Christmas’.

The other card is a favorite of mine because of the large die cut image on the Soft Sea Foam base –

One of the patterns of paper in the pack contain all large flower arrangements. Some you can cut with the coordinating Rose Dies, the others, you can fussy cut or use other shaped dies to cut out.

I also added scrap strips behind the focal flower because the are soo pretty!

The dots and sentiment are from the stamp set, Christmas Rose, as well.

The Designer Series Paper is a real bonus as it contains 12 sheets, but only 3 pattern so you get 4 of each! Great for Christmas card creating.

Coloring Christmastime is Here

How is your Monday so far?

I needed a little color therapy today.

Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges! felt the same way! Their challenge this week encourages us to pull out the coloring items and get to coloring!

I pulled out this lovely stamp, Christmas Rose stamp set and some Blends –

Beautiful, huh? This Christmas Rose bundle is soo pretty!

I stamped the flower in Basic Gray on Whisper White and colored it with several different Blends markers. I went over the flower with Wink of Stella for a slight bit of pop!

All around the edge, I used the Light Soft Sea Foam Blends to soften the color.

I used the coordinating Rose Dies for the flower bunch.

The gorgeous flower bunch sits on a Tufted 3d embossed panel. The reversible ribbon coordinated quite well also!

This bundle will be available November 1st. There is a whole suite of beautiful products you’ll want to have!

Welcome to our World Card Making Day Edition of our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Of course, our theme this week features something for World Card Making Day!

How about playing with new stuff?????

This is the soon to be available, Christmas Time is Here Suite Bundle. It contains a stamp set, dies, paper, and ribbon! And, It is just beautiful!!!

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base, a Whisper White layer, a piece of beautiful Designer Series Paper, a gorgeous flower later and a die cut sentiment.

One of the patterns has two different groups of roses. One, can be cut with die cut, the one I used needs to be fussy cut.

The sentiment was stamped and die cut.

Can you wait until November 1st to oder them? You can, but. I know it will be difficult.
