It has been such a long time since I’ve sat down to do a blog posting.
Life happens. Blogging takes time. Crafting takes more time.
I’ve made some really neat crafty things lately. Hopefully, you’ve been lucky enough to receive something from me!
I made this card last week at a Team Meeting. These butterflies seem to be all the rage. This color combination is very bright and cheery.
What do you think –
I must say, I’ve steered away from these intricate dies or framelits because they are usually problematic to remove.
However. We had a discussion about using this framelit and it’s removal.
What I did was the usual ‘sandwich’ of the magnetic platform, clear plate, card stock, die, clear plate. I ran it through one time. I lifted the card stock and metal die up and placed an unscented generic dryer sheet under the card stock. I ran it back through one more time. The die popped off and the butterfly peeled away leaving all those bits embedded in the dryer sheet. I love this idea. I’m going to try it on some other more intricate dies.
Other than that, this card was pretty simple. DSP on the top half and sentiment stamp on the bottom. Add a little ribbon and done. The inside had a piece of Whisper White to read the inside sentiment better.
I know it’s been awhile, but, I’d love to hear what you have to say about this card.
Happy Stampin’
