Our theme this week features cards with latches to open or close the front.

I just love when you go to create a card and stuff in your stash matches stuff you had! Notice how the Textured Floral stamp set matches the the pattern paper, Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper?

I stamped a smaller flower image on the front panel and also the inside of the card. It matches the little flowers in the background on the paper soo well! I was quite excited when I noticed this as it is a favorite stamp set of mine.

This is the back of the card. You can see how the pattern paper was adhered to the back.

The Hunt For Red October

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is any shade of red on our cards!

I still had the Iconic Imagery Bundle on my table. After a quip flip through the Iconic Celebration Designer Series Paper, pattern paper, I ran across this lovely pattern.

I cut the paper into six pieces to highlight it. I added the Celebrate sentiment and the coordinating die cut.

I love how there is even smaller coordinating shapes for the sentiment! I used one for the word love. Make this card is sweet as can be!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s Case The Catalog challenge to spark your creativity –

I decided to follow the layout for my card –

I used a new Online Exclusive, the Iconic Imagery Bundle. it has multiple images for the holidays. I think it will be a favorite of mine!

This nice watercolor shaded Designer Series Paper, pattern paper, is Bright & Beautiful. The stamped images are also from the Iconic Imagery stamp set. I used the Blueberry Bushel ink stamped on the inside Basic White then stamped on the front pattern paper so they’d be lighter.

The sheer silver edged ribbon is so festive, as are the addition of the Iridescent Faceted Gems!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I took a retro approach with these colors –

I created a simple birthday card using the Tune In Bundle.

I like the shape of the tv screen. I die cut three of the screen shapes and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in the same colors.

The Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder really makes this clean and simple card pop. Even more so, these Iridescent Faceted Gems. They have a slight pattern in the center that is really cool.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

This idea just went racing through my head, lol –

This is the wonderful Racing By stamp set! I so love it!

It is a two-step stamp set. I stamped the body, the outline, then the tires. Unfortunately, there are no dies for this one, but it is really easy to cut out.

I repeated the sentiment on the strip like a billboard or banner at the races.

The Designer Series Paper was purposely chosen. The top pattern resembles people in the grandstands, with the lower pattern being the safe grass around the track. Of course, the black is the roadway. Too much thought? Probably. But this sure is a great card if I do say so myself!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Stamping Friends challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I was sort of thinking outside the box using these colors –

Before scrolling, any guesses as to how I created the balloons since we have no balloon punch or dies? EDIT : The Online Exclusive Filled With Fun has balloons, but it is not those.

For this card, I created the three balloons adding the strings behind each one. One balloon was adhered to the layer, the other two were popped up on dimensions. I pulled the strings down towards the center and glued them in place. I also glued a tiny double bow on the front balloon.

The sentiment is from a great new stamp set, Simply Said Mix & Match. The border is also from a new set, Labeled With Love. You can either get dies or a punch to cut out the same shape. I went with a punch here.

Enough suspense, the balloons are from the Bee Builder Punch! The bee body turned upright to make a balloon! The string and bow really mask the ‘bee’ look! Pretty cool I’d say!

Bye Bye – Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is retiring products we will miss.

Where do I begin? I am always very sad to see all these wonderful products retire, but equally as happy to see new products as join us! It keeps the creative juices going!

I am sad to be losing an unusual staple, these Stitched With Whimsy Dies –

Look closely at the card and you can see the dashed line on the right side –

They are sooo subtle but add just a little something to cards to elevate their look. I recommend grabbing them as they are marked down to $17.40, from $29. That is a huge savings!

Of course, this Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper is ~~retiring~~, sold out, as most DSP’s retire when a new catalog comes out.

I will also miss this newly acquired, Filled With Happiness stamp. I hardly had anytime to get to know it. It is pretty cool how the Modern Oval Punch fits so well with it. I recommend grabbing both this stamp and punch (not retiring) before they are not available.

The inside of this card is pretty nifty too –

All in all, this is simple a wonderful masculine or fish lover card! Wouldn’t you agree?

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I decided to do some simple stamping –

This card features the Hooray For Surprises stamp set. I do not do a lot of simple stamping so I thought it’d be perfect with these colors! I love this cake that is ready to stamp!

The sentiment is pretty sweet too!

I love the delicate added flower in Berry Burst. Since the color is so bold, the Iridescent Pearls really soften the flowers on the cake.

Submarine Birthday

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I had a little fun with these colors –

This adorable card uses the Submarine Life Bundle. It is a stamp set and punch.

As you can see, I stamped the submarine and punched it. For the water background, I stamped images in Coastal Cabana for a tone on tone look.

This birthday sentiment is also from the stamp set too! I used Crushed Curry to stamp it. My ink pad seemed to give the solid letters a little shading! Sometimes you just have to go with the flow when this happens!

Our theme today is birthday!

I just love this cheery cherry pattern from the Sunny Days Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper. I thought it’d make a great birthday card –

I used the Filled With Happiness stamp set that coordinates with the Modern Oval Punch! Of course, I threw in the Cherry Builder punch too! Because it matches soo well!

This layout is fun and happy! Not to mention simple! Love a great go-to layout!

Bright Skies Birthday Blooms

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I love these colors together! I created a simple floral card using the Bright Skies Dies –

……well, not so simple as it opens, you see white peeking from behind the front –

And opened all the way –

It is like a Z-fold but a little different.

I used the Simply Scored to create the scored lines on the back of my card front making the lines raised on the front. These help placement of these adorable flowers!

Being that I didn’t want to add anything to the front of the card, the sentiment went on the inside hidden panel.

Pretty cool, huh?

Note, I did add the Basic White panel to an embossed piece of Poppy Parade using the Sale-a-bration embossing folder, Softly Sophisticated. It is just soo pretty!

Hello crafty friends!

You are in for a Sweet Treat today!

As we are having a blog hop featuring all things sweet!

I choose the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle along with the Sale-a-bration Mostly Adorned Designer Series Paper is got free! This bundle is nothing but cute!

I love how the vellum lets you see the Designer Series Paper, but it makes it more subtle!

I went with a ‘strawberry swirl’ ice cream using the dies only. However, there are stamps that I could have stamped the ice cream with.

The die cut cone detailing is very nice too!

I stamped the sentiment and cut it apart for a more playful, fun look.

What a great layout for this card –

This lovely Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper does most of the work in the card. The squares, and focal flower are all from the paper!

Look closely as I did use the coordinating Translucent Florals stamp set on the Blackberry Bliss piece with some stamping.

I love how both the rectangle and circle are deckled! The Deckled Circle Dies are new and in the mini catalog. They are a must have!

This pattern paper can be found under the Online Exclusives on the Stampin’ Up website.

I featured this card at my November Card buffet and it was a hit! The colors are just soo striking together!

I love everything about this card, the layout, the Designer Series Paper, and the versatility of creating two different cards! This is the other design option –

Just as lovely!

Now, at the class, some just loved the floral pattern soo much, they made the whole card with the florals layers – also very pretty. Going with all polka dot pattern would have created a masculine card. Also a great option!

This is the last of these challenges, CASing our own designers. Today we CAS Connie Babbert!

She has soo many great cards and wonderful layouts. I chose this card –

I loved these colors, trying to match to what is in the Mini catalog – somewhat of a challenge. Well, I made a great card, lol –

I used my favorite, Designer Series Paper, Garden Walk as my starting point. I pulled like colors from here to match her card, well, attempt to match.

The stamped and die cut gifts are also my favorite from this catalog. They are wonderful for any occasion!

The finishing touch was the Adhesive Backed Sequins to add a little sonethin somethin finishing off the card.

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I created a simple, yet elegant birthday card –

Sweet, right?

I started by stamping the Sketched Plaid in Lost Lagoon onto the Soft Sea Foam. I debated about what stamp set to use with my base, but went with this new Heartfelt Hexagons Bundle. It is such a great versatile bundle!

I stamped the little flowers in the blank areas for a fill.

Next, I stamped the border in Soft Sea Foam. I inked the sentiment in two colors and stamped it in the center of the border. I punched it. Adding a scrap of Berry Burst to highlight the color behind it on the card made it pop! Just what the card needed!

The Basic Rhinestones in each of the flowers really set the card off! Simply elegant!
