Sending love and sympathy.
Wow. Most of my posts this week have been on a sad or somber note. Not good. I really wish things were different.
I have a double need for sympathy cards today. Two of my stampin’ buds, Barbara and Marissa, have lost someone very near and dear to them this past Monday. These are unrelated passings.
Since I created a type of sympathy card on Wednesday, I needed to come up with something different today. Different layout. Different colors. I was stumped.
Never look further than blogs that have challenges. I ran across the most cleanest layout at Technostamper. It’s their Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge, TSSC275. I create it two ways. One for each, sort of using the one sheet wonder technique. Only mine was the quarter sheet technique.
My card is about as basic as you can get. But, it’s more about the thought than the card anyway. I used the new Baked Brown Sugar on Very Vanilla card stock. The floral pattern is from the retired set, Best Friends Forever. It is a nice, nondescript background. Sorry the photograph didn’t turn out any better. Cards with yellow tones never seem to photograph quite right.
I am truly saddened to hear about the loss that Barbara and Marissa are going through right now. May their families surround them, providing comfort and support to get through this difficult time.
Happy Stampin’
