Someone is having a ‘beary special birthday’, I’m just not sure who yet!

It’s been raining here most of the week and I’ve needed to create something. Anything. Well, I ran across three sketches that I thought I could combine. Yes, three.

First was the theme from SU-Only Challenges –

SUO Challenge #155 – Cute and Cuddly!

Such a sweet idea.

Second. Colors from Can You Case It –

Fun, fun, colors!!

And, last, but not least, a layout from Nacho Average Challenges –

A great layout that will go into my ‘go to sketches’!!!!!

I just thought this was a perfect combination of all three ideas!

And, yes, I did use lots of miscellaneous items to create this cute card. Even some retired trim just for the little pom-pom!

I’d love to read what you think of this little cutie bear!

Best Dad Ever, CCMC404

Over at Create with Connie and Mary this week, we have a wonderful color challenge –

These colors rock! My creative thoughts were going everywhere as I did not have a purpose for a card creation today. Meaning, this is just playin’ around with color!

I decided to go masculine here. I think partially because Ed likes orange and the other two colors are great masculine goto’s! I made a simple Father’s Day card –

Nothing fussy. Just a simple card.

The hat and bow tie are from the Bear Hugs Bundle which includes a stamp set and coordinating framelits! The greeting came from the And Many More stamp set. Sadly, it’s retiring…..but, at least it’s on sale!

Create with Connie and Mary sketches are terrific to play around with because the colors choices are easy to work with. Why don’t you join us this week and give it a try?

Peek-a-Boo to Someone New

Not really. No one new around here. But, it’s always nice to have a baby card in your stash of cards!

I decided to play along with Can You Case It again this week. They have a simple color challenge –

That’s right. Three colors. I can handle that!

I decided that this was a great idea for three colors –

Simple. Clean. Sweet. Vanilla, Gold, and Mint Macaron.

The front has a window just like this card. Only this one needed cutting out!

When fully opened you can see how it comes together.

I did have this on my card Buffet this past weekend. It was a popular card choice! Simple. Clean. Sweet.

Although this card had lots of framelit cutting – it was rather easy to create.

Tip – I used three ovals to create this card. The vellum is cut with the middle size one so that it has an edge to be adhered to the oval opening with. The outer oval hides it!

Beary Cute Duo

I recently had the joy of meeting my friend’s newest daughter and her newest grandson who are just a few weeks apart! Yes, both mom and daughter were pregnant at the same time!

Both babies are just the cutest! And, of course, I made coordinating gift bags and cards as you can see –

Did I mention the card bases here are from the Tin of Cards? I just decided to take the card base and decorate it my way. I always have kraft bags too. It’s just a staple in my craft stash.

These gift ensembles came together really quick and easily.

I’m sure the gifts will be enjoyed and cherished!

Four Card Friday

Lol. I know, I’ve done ‘Five Card Friday’, but, I only had four things to share today.

Last week I was able to join another demonstrator at her classes. It was so much fun!!! As a demonstrator myself, I find that I’m always hosting classes and I never get to go and stamps for myself. This year I have decided that I need that kind of time too. So, I’ve been getting together with friends to ‘stamp and chat’ and hang out and stamp. All for me!

This was the fun! What I really liked about this class – some of the cards we made were products I have, but have not used.

This Just For You card, I was concerned that the large stamp would not stamp an even image. However, we stamped this image at the class and didn’t even use a mat under the card stock! It stamped beautifully as you can see. (This card inspired me to create this card.)

And, we even stamped the inside of the card too!!! Something I rarely think about doing.

I can not tell you how un’bear’ably cute this little guy is on this card! Once again, I haven’t used this adorable stamp set and framelits. It’s a definite go for my next Card Buffet!

You open it!

Now this card uses the pop up dies like they should be used! So it pops when you open it! How cool is that? It is a bit tricky to adhere the inside to where it ‘pops’ correctly, mine, I’m a little off. Oh well.

I loved them! And, best of all, Clearance Rack!! Stamps used are from the current Sale-a-Bration offerings. Great idea!

So much fun to just go stamp where everything is ready for me to make! Looking forward to more of these this year.
