Hello! Happy Saturday!

Welcome the the second of three blog hops for me today!

Our theme this hop around is anything new from Stampin’ Up!. Sooooo how about new stuff from the January to June Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration Mini?

I went with the You Are Amazing stamp set along with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper –

I had a difficult time deciding just which pattern to go with, so I used all eight in the pack to create a sweet set of birthday cards –

I also added the sentiment from You Are Amazing stamped in the same color as the card stock.

I made each card the exact same. This will make a perfect gift set for someone or I might just mail them out this month. Lots of January birthdays!

After stamping, I punched the sentiments out and backed them with a die cut Silver Foil scalloped circle.

The strip under the sentiment was a scrap from another set of cards I created with this paper. I use everything! Lol!

I punched the balloons from the Balloon Bouquet Punch in the exact same spot on each piece of pattern paper to get the same variation.

To tie in the Silver Foil, I added the Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the cards.

These are just so sweet!!!

I’m playing with new paper and a Sale-a-Bration framelit set, yes, you read that correct!

This turned out fun, sweet, cute…..

The Designer Series Paper, Sweet Soiree, is soo pretty with its silver accents! All the sheets are really thick with one side of the paper being patterns with silver foil in them and the other being just pretty patterns! The other side is equally as pretty and hard to decide which side to use!

The word ‘celebrate’ is a Sale-a-Bration framelit option, Celebrate You. It coordinates with the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Amazing You. So many wonderful free Sale-a-Bration options this year!

Delicate Ombre Birthday Wishes

Wow, what a response yesterday on my Tuesday Tips. That’s a hard act to follow!

But I am playing along with a sketch challenge today. It’s from CAS(E) this Sketch! –

I needed to make a Birthday card for Crystal. Happy Birthday, Crystal!!

I liked this layout for an ombre paper technique I’ve been wanting to try. Brandi challenged me to use the Delicate Details Lace Tape too. So, this is what I came up with using all these ideas –

Cool, huh? I like the effect. I’m definitely going to play around with this graduated color effect again.

I used the Large Scallop Edgelit Die that I’ve never even used before to create these scallops. I added the lace tape on top and under the last scallop. The rhinestones added a little flair.

My base is Naturals White Card Stock for a little contrast. I’m on the fence about that choice. But, it’s done.

Comparing my card to the challenge, I love it. And, more importantly, Crystal will too!

Modern Medley Congratulations

Ah, the elegant combination of black and cream.

This was another choice on my November Card Buffet this past weekend. I love the elegant simplicity of it. It was a popular card too.

I started by embossing only the top inner portion of the Very Vanilla card stock. The paper was perpendicular to the folder. I used the bottom portion of the folder for this technique. After the embossing, four of the shapes were punched out in a row.

In doing so, it removed a slight embossed raised edge around each Mosaic shape. Lovely pieces left over – not sure what I’m going to do with them, something I’m sure.

A strip of DSP was added and a stamped greeting on this card. The addition of the itty bitty punched shapes with a rhinestone added that finishing touch. Done. It was a quick card. It would be great to remake for a variety of different occasions.

Flippin to say, ‘Hi’

I know, I know, corny title. It’s early. I couldn’t come up with anything more catchy!

This is one of the cards from my Card Buffet this past weekend. I love black and green – they go so well together!

I tend to do a few ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ cards because many of my customers have college students or children that live far away. And besides, isn’t nice to just send a card for no reason? It thrills me to no end when I hear someone say they are sending out a card to someone. That is really important to me. Pass on the snail mail!

This is really a basic Label Card Thinlit just decorated. I used the Modern Medley DSP and that’s about it. Sometimes simple is best.

Polaroid Thoughts

Polaroid thoughts. I just couldn’t think of what to call this post.

I’ve been in a big slump for a while now, so I actually made this card for, me. Myself. Being creative really helps sometime.

I had been wanting to try this current trend in card making, the faux Polaroid. I was drawn to this sentiment – so, I tried to come up with a card using both. And, that’s where I got stuck.

In searching my trusty fellow challenge blogs for some direction, Freshly Made Sketches came to mind. This is #107. I think the layout works for my pieces I needed to put together. What do you think?

I used the new Squares Collection Framelits to cut the inside of the frame out. Admittedly, I trimmed my initial Whisper White rectangle again, after I made the center cut. It just needed the slimming down.

I hadn’t used this new stretchy trim either. The card just needed a little *pop* of color. Strawberry Slush seemed to work. And the Rhinestones too, added just the right touch.

So, this card will be with me to remind me, Everything will be OK, even if we (I) can’t see what OK is yet.

You’re Swell

You’re swell! Even though you lost my post for Wednesday! Sorry about that followers! Don’t know where it went……

Today, I’m sharing a lovely card made from the Dressed Up Framelits from the Spring Mini Catalog. It was another card from my March Card Buffet that did not make it for April. Actually, none of them did. I started with a clean board this month!

Nothing too fancy about this. Just a good, clean, gorgeous dress! Paper style, that it! These are so fun, these Dress Up Framelits. Paper dolls for us grownups! Wouldn’t this be fun for a shower for a bride, or a girly dress up party? I think so!

Happy Easter, Bunny

Turn around little bunny!

This was another one of the cards I made the other day at my up lines stamp camp. It’s a sweet little card that showcases lots of Stampin’ Up products.

I really like the bunny made from all the punches. It’s cute and simple. The fun part was using these Martha Stewart Craft fringe Scissors to make the grass. Yes, I know, it’s not Stampin’ Up – but the same look could have been achieved with regular scissors.

Having all these supplies, this card could be easily be reproduced a number of times. Just in time to get these in the mail for Easter.

Gettin’ some nifty Easter ideas now aren’t you? Are you inspired yet?
