Pinwheels. Love these fun 3-D additions to a card! Don’t you? Just look at how fun & sweet my card share is today!
My inspiration came from two places. The colors for my card, Bashful Blue and Midnight Muse are from Dynamic Duos Color Challenge #54 this week. And, the wonderful layout comes from Technostamper. This is the Monday Lunchtime Sketch #265.
Why a baby card? No new babies to speak of. But, inspiration can come from odd places. Mine came after I read about the newborn baby boy stuck in a pipe in China. So, it just struck me to combine the two challenges to create this adorable number for him. Although, he doesn’t necessarily have new parents yet.
I just went through stuff I had. The ribbon is long since retired. Same for the punch that I made a simple, cute border to tie in the colors. I thought the center of the pinwheel coordinated well with the border, don’t you? And, you guessed it. My base is Naturals White, but my stamped image is on regular Whisper White. The naturals card stocks do not accept stampin’ too well. My pinwheel started life as a retired 3×3 piece of DSP, one of those 6×6 paper packs we had at one time.
All in all, I LOVE how this turned out. Now, I really want to find someone special to receive this card!
