It’s Thursday. Again. Wasn’t it just here?

Time for a Create with Connie and Mary sketch to jump-start your creativity!

Nice sketch. I love it! You should love what I did with it –

Yes?

It’s these itsy bitsy mushrooms on the onesie that did it for me! Yes, they are a stamp!

I was drawn to a baby card I guess because a friend has a friend who came to visit and she brought a two month old with her. She was precious. I was happy to meet her.

So, perhaps babies were on the creative side when I made this. I’m not really sure. I know I liked how it turned out and it fit the sketch. Do you?

Lots and lots of expectant moms around me as well as new babies arriving. It’s not easy to keep up.

I get the Paper Pumpkin monthly kit for a little creative ‘me time’. The kits for March was sew cute. Yes, a play on words.

It was perfect to ‘whip’ up a card for a newly arrived little girl. I decided to get creative with mine and do this –

It should say, ‘YOU’. I flipped mine over and created the word ‘JOY’. Clever I thought.

The little booties disguise the remaining holes for stitching – I bet you didn’t even notice that, did you?

I decided to show this off over at My Pumpkin Challenge. They have some great ideas on how to expand on these already over the top kits.

I did add a bit more of non Paper Pumpkin kit contents. I added the embossed card base, stamps, trim and framelits. I was just sparked with ideas here.

I used to be an avid cross stitcher, so this kits really appealed to me. I do miss hand sewing……

I just received my April kit. I’m itching to play with it as well.
