Colorful Leaves with Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our weekly Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features fall leaves.

I pulled out some pattern papers, got to playing, and created this –

Not exactly colorful. Not exactly more than one leaf. Lol.

So pretty nonetheless! This combination of colors and patterns just works so well together!

These neutrals really pop if you ask me! The hint of the Crumb Cake behind the Designer Series Layer really pulls the colors together.

This card would be great for ‘Friendsgiving’! I went to lunch on Friday with one of my friends I’ve made through stamping. I was inspired to make a card after our lovely lunch. I guess I should send her this card, lol!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new color challenge to spark your creativity –

I decided to use these colors in a simply stamped way –

I just repeated the words in alternating colors down the page!

Then I was like, now what?

I decided since it was a fall card, to back it on Mossy Meadow. But it still needed something……

A nice big fall leaf die cut! I adhered the base flat ans used Dimensionals to raise the leaf to see the shadow of the Mossy Meadow beneath.

A double twine bow and and some Speckled Dots finished the card off nicely!

I am in love with this simple, but yet complex card. How about you?

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

This is a great layout to show off different Designer Series Papers!

The paper does all the work in this lovely fall card! I featured the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper for the pieces and the Oxidized Copper Specialty paper for the leaf.

This light and delicate sentiment is from the Fruitful Blessing stamp set.

I featured this card on my October Card Buffet and it was a total hit!

We Create – Gratitude & Gatherings

Happy November 1st!

Time for some inspration with the We Create team. Out theme today is Gratitude & Gatherings.

I design a cute, fun, and elegant card for this hop –

Right? A little of everything but it works!

I’ll refer to this as my ‘kitchen sink’ card as I used everything on this card it seemed!

To create this card, I started with a Countryside Corners Dies cut shape using the Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper. I just love this pattern!

Next, I cut a Deckled Rectangles shape, embossing it with the Countryside Blooms Embossing Folder as I thought the pattern was similar with the curls.

I stamped and punched my sentiment.

I was stumped at that point, so I made the sentiment into a pumpkin! I added a leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies and a ‘tendril’ from the Merry & Bright Dies.

Whew. Off to clean my desk after this! Lol!

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge!

Here is this week’s new layout challenge to spark your creativity –

I thought about this layout for a bit before creating this fall pretty –

I started with creating the pumpkin using the Countryside Corners Dies. The embossing really took this pumpkin to the next level!

The other side of the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper works so well for fall cards! That’s what I used here.

I used lots of dies for all the pieces here. I cut the leaf from the Autumn Leaves Dies and the ‘twig’ is from the Merry & Bright Dies!

Our theme this week is CASing our own designer, Debbie Henderson!

I was in a fall feels mood – easy to do that with temps of 100°!!! This card seemed appropriate to CAS –

I liked the simplistic style of her card.

and, don’t you love this? All the fall feels!

I combined the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper, with the new, Autumn Leaves Bundle, stamp set and dies, for this! I used a few different colors of ink on the leaf to create a similar effect.

Simple. Elegant. Grateful.

Great colors for a fun take on a fall-ish card –

This is a new Autumn Leaves Bundle available September 6. I used it for the leaves, the colored stitched shapes behind the leaves, and the rectangles for the sentiments. Lots of wonderful dies in this set!

Notice the embossing behind all the focal point? It is now an online exclusive, the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. It is a favorite of mine, so I am glad it is still available.
