Happy Friday my stampin’ friends!
Sorry I missed last week. I have a lot going on these days and sometimes something has to take a side seat.
I have seen this ‘arrow fold’ a few times and it has intrigued me. So here is my go at one –
So cool, right!?!?!?!
I thought it would be hard, but it is not! It is soo easy. It starts with a standard card base, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. On the front, pencil mark the center at the bottom, 2 3/4″. On both sides, pencil mark at 2 1/8″. Both of the se markings are the halfway points. Score from the middle bottom mark up to the middle mark on both sides. Also score from the middle bottom mark up to the center fold on both sides.
Fold card in half. Fold center score lines towards the inside of the card. The outer score lines fold away. This will create the wings in the arrow.
I used the You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper for my card. I cut it 5 1/4″ x 4″. Watch how your pattern goes when you make this card, you want to be able to use both sides of the paper.
I marked the DSP at 2 5/8″. I cut from that mark up to the top on both sides, giving me an upside down triangle in the middle and two triangles on the side.
Flip the paper to side to like.
Because this was my first attempt, I use a simple sentiment on the front as to not cover up this sweet paper!
The inside still leaves ample room for writing.
Give this fold a go and let me know how yours turns out!
