We are a group of stampers who get together weekly in blog form to create with a theme each week. This is our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week is holiday baking.

For my card this week, I got over my angst of heat embossing and created a really sweet card –

Just adorable!

I started with cutting the generously sized gingerbread from Pecan Pie. After, I decided to pull out the embossing supplies I’ve had forever and got to work. I fear that heat embossing is time consuming and messy. It is NOT either of these, try it!

Then I had to figure out what to do with it.

I went with something I hadn’t seen before. I took a piece of the Regal Distressed Designer Series Paper and drew lines with the Pretty In Pink Stampin’ Blends. This created a nice, sweet, simple background.

I stamped the sentiment and the gumdrops in Poppy Parade, trimming the sentiment into three pieces and die cutting gumdrops.

The end result is a very cute, sweet gingerbread card.
