Welcome stampers!
We are a group of stampers who get together weekly in blog form to create with a theme each week. This is our weekly Create with Stamping Friends Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week is summer flowers.
Ooohhh, so many come to mind! However, I’m going with a sunflower –
Isn’t this a gorgeous embossed flower? It is from a new folder, Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. This requires the Specialty Plate to get this nice, deep impression.
It is a larger folder, measuring in at 6″ x 8-1/2″. I cut the full panel so I could use different parts of the larger piece for my card.
I did cut an additional large flower which I cut by hand for the front.
This sentiment is also new, from the Charming Day stamp set. I stamped it, punched it, then punch it again to shorten it.
What do you think of my ‘ribbon’? It is a strip of card stock distressed and split. It creates a nice velvety strip.
This is the inside of the card with additional embossed pieces, leftovers from the initial larger embossed piece.
Both stamp set and 3D embossing folder will be found in the Online Exclusives section of the website starting July 1st. Shop with me and earn rewards!
Be sure to go around and check us all out! We also love to read comments too. Take a few minutes to say HI, or why you liked our project for the week.
Next up is Melissa Davies, back is Cindy Elam. Keep going to see all of us.
See you next week with more great inspirations!

Basic Card Making Supplies
Beautiful card, Libby!! This EF is on my list.
I love that you cut another flower to pop-up AND I love what you did with the paper to create a ribbon-look. Great ideas!!!
What “specialty plate” is needed?
Thank you Karen!
The Specialty Plate is the current grey or prvious blue plate by Stampin’ Up.
So lovely! That embossing folder is definitely on my wish list, and I love the idea of using distressed card stock in place of a ribbon. Is the yellow Daffodil Delight or Darling Duckling?
Thank you Alicia!
The yellow is Darling Duckling for this card.
Thanks! 🙂
