Yes, it’s Friday, YAY!
Finally having some warm, springlike, low humidity weather here in Texas! Although, most of the year is HOT and humid!!
Got a cute, quick and easy fun fold today! Here is the outside of the card –
Looks pretty plain and nondescript, I know. How about when you open it –
Look how cool! The inside *pops* up or out, however you you call it!
I started with the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin, Here’s To You –
I used one of the large card images for the outside. I added my ‘enjoy your retirement’ sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings because these images remind me of retirement or travel!
For the inside, I cut the other card front apart to use the scenery. I used the scraps to create the *pop* out ‘mechanism’.
To create it, I used a standard top fold card base, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored 5 1/2″.
For ‘mechanism’, I used a 1″ x 4″ strip scored at every 1 inch. I folded each score line, forming a touching box (not closing). I added Tear & Tape to both ends.
To adhere the ‘mechanism’, fold it half. Tear & Tape should be at the ends on each side. Remove liners.
Place inside card fold, centered a tad bit away from fold.
Close the card. Open the card.
You should have a little square now in the center near the fold!
Adhere focal point to the 1″ x 1″ area using Tear & Tape again! Open and close to see it action!
So cool! And, EASY!
You can add this to any card you’ve made to make it a little extra special!
Some of the additional items I used on the card are retiring. Marked with an asterisk, so you know.
