Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week features shades of reds.
I almost made a card with the wine stamps we have, but I decided I felt more like coloring –
This is a new stamp set available in the upcoming 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! catalog called Free as a Bird. It’s so lovely. The sentiment is also from the same set.
I stamped the large image in Black Memento and let it dry. I colored the birds in a shades of Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Blends.
Copper was a nice color for the branch and shades of Old Olive, colored the leaves. I underlined the tree branch in Light Pool Party for a soften highlight. Blends has brought coloring back! I sure love them!
I trimmed the stamped image and used Vellum card stock to border it. It soften the Real Red, going well with the ‘shades of red’ theme.
Go forward to check out Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I bet they have great ‘shades of red’ cards, don’t you?
