Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!
Need some motivation to play with your stuff today? How about this new challenge –
Optional Theme : Embossing
Perfect inspiration to create this wedding wishes card –
First off, I haven’t played with this gorgeous Merry Merlot color much. and, why? It’s gorgeous!!!!
I created the embossed background by using White Craft ink on one side of the Country Floral embossing folder, laying the Basic Gray card stock on the other side and then running it through the Big Shot one time. The ink settles in the recessed area of the paper creating a beautiful effect.
(This embossing folder will be available in the upcoming annual Stampin’ Up! catalog if you did not get it during Sale-a-bration!)
I added a strip of Very Vanilla and two hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. I placed them on the strip and trimmed them on the trimmer leaving a slight over hang in some areas.
The ‘love’ sentiment is from the Well Written framelits and sits atop a pretty label shape from the Stitched Labels Framelits. I cut two out, one in Very Vanilla and the other in Vellum to soften the Vanilla color.
Check out out the other Design Team cards on our Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog or Facebook page. You can also play along with our challenge and show us your cards on either site.
