Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week is Celebrating Birthdays.
I pulled out the gorgeous silver foiled Sweet Soiree Designer Serious paper as my starting point.
From a sheet of nothing but cakes, I cut out one of the cakes. I wanted the cake to be the focal point of the card, so I popped it up on a circle.
I then went with the more subtle side of the paper, adding it to a trimmed Tutti-Frutti Card & Envelope, the yellow portion. Just a hint of the Berry Burst was all the card needed for a little extra pizzaz. It ties in the ink rather well.
A very simple birthday card that looks really elegant!
We have some fabulous birthday ideas on our blog hop today! Check out Debbie Henderson going forward, and going back to Mary Brown. I know you’ll get some great ideas!

Hi Libby, I printed out your message about Club 6/Club 3 and put it my TO READ folder which I finally got to today. Well if you still have the draft on your computer would you send me another copy. The copy I made cut off the right side of the whole message. If you don’t I’ll just try to fill in what’s missing. Have 19 people coming for card class in three sections; 6 on 3/3, 7 on3/4 and 7 on 3/10. Am very excited. Thanks, Carole
