What the….?..?..?
Well, five years ago, this happened –
We became first time cat parents.
We’d never had cats before.
Until.
Until this little adorable thing followed our daughters home from a walk to the mall. I told them if she stayed around a few nights, I’d consider keeping her. Well, she never left!
Today, we celebrate her arrival because we don’t know when she was born. The vet did say she was like a teenager age when we took her in.
And, of course, I’m celebrating this stuff!
We couldn’t really decide just what to call her. Biscuit, Moon or Luna. At the time, we settled (sort of) on Luna. She now responds to Kitty Kitty or Meow Meow. Go figure. Guess that’s a cat for you!
After a year, we had this celebration –
Super cute picture! You can see her blue, blue eyes! They really are a beautiful light blue shade!
Today, we did something similar –
Ha-ha! Five years for ya!!
Despite the licking of the chops, she really had NO interest in our tuna ‘cake’.
Going back to the card for her, it was lots of fun to create! The repeated FIFTH stamping was a bit challenging because the stamp actually said, TWENTY-FIFTH and I had to not ink up the TWENTY- part. Not too bad since these are the photopolymer stamps that you can see through.
I tried to color the cat like her for more realistic appeal. Not too bad. She always sits very upright and precarious with her tail curled around just so. She has long since worn her collar with the bell, but it made this look more cat-like.
She is a typical Flame Point Siamese – she doesn’t like anyone! Anyone but me that is. The family ribs me about it all the time – guess they’re just jealous…..
I’d love to read what you think about my special post today! Pets are our family. We celebrate them too!
(This special Luna-versary took place on January 7th – yesterday – but she slept half the day away. So I just posted today instead!)

What a beautiful cat and such a wonderful person to give her a forever home! Love the card, very ingenious.

Thank you for the lovely comments! Sadly, she is NOT a sociable cat and doesn’t like people. She did when we first got her, for a short while – now, sadly, not at all. But she is pretty!

Congrats Luna! You picked a good home and I see where you have trained your human properly! We adopted a calico cat in Dec. Her shelter name was Cashmere because of her very soft fur. However, she is a.k.a. Miss Sneaky. Do I need to say why?
So Luna, thank Libby for the cute card by allowing her to rub you in your favorite spot!

I got an adopted kitty abandoned in a snowbank, vet said 8 weeks. She is coal black except for green eyes and one single solitary white hair on her chest! My granddaughter named her Snowball for me. She, too, is skittish and runs upstairs if anyone comes in…after 5 years. I attribute it to being abandoned and having to protect herself.

I don’t know Ronni – at first she was sweet, sociable, and friendly – today, NOT at all. But, I still love her!
