Sounds like I am thinking of CCMC, which is Create with Connie and Mary, and, I guess you can say that I am!
It’s Thursday and time for another challenge from them!
This time it’s a color challenge –
Halloween colors was your first though, I bet?
Well, it’s doesn’t have to be. Just take a look –
See. It doesn’t scream Halloween, does it?
It’s quite a lovely card using this bold sentiment!
The added Confetti embossed background makes the card fun for a number of occasions: birthday, thank you, thinking of you, anniversary, invitation, you get the idea!
Now the other Design Team members at Create with Connie and Mary created some wonderful too, and not all Halloween cards with these colors! You should check them out. Hopefully, we’ve inspired you and you’ll play along with us!
Supplies –
- Stamp Set – Time of Year (hostess set)
- Dies – Layering Ovals Framelits
- Card Stock –Perfect Plum, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White
- Ink – Perfect Plum
- Punches – Bow Builder (used to flag the ends of strips)
- Big Shot – Confetti
Love the clean, bold style of this card. Great way to use the color combination!
Thanks, Sharon – these colors had me stumped because I wanted a non-Halloween style card. It worked out!
Clean and simple. Love it when the greeting takes center stage! Nicely done!
It just worked so well for this card! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a compliment!
Wow beautiful card! I love it! And so not Halloween! I love the way you’ve used the Perfect Plum as the focal colour with just touches of the other two!
Thanks Tracy! Originally, I made this in Elegant Eggplant, remembered the colors wrong. Perfect Plum looks great too!
Love the texture in the background and the bold sentiment as the focal image! Great job with the color challenge this week!
Thanks Connie! Struggled to create a non-Halloween card, check!!!
What a nice way to showcase the sentiment! The texture is great too!
Thanks, Jenny!
