Well, it’s Thursday. Already. Where did this week go?
I managed to get in another card for a challenge….Still. Working. On. The. Craft. Room.
Today, it’s for Create with Connie and Mary. As usual, last week, we had a terrific color challenge. This week – a great (challenging) layout –
Personally, I get too caught up in the placement of things when I follow one of these – I shouldn’t over think it. At all. And, neither should you. Have FUN with it!
I created this –
Not too fussy and oh, so lovely!!!!!
All my pieces are adhered directly to the card – nothing popped up. This card didn’t need it.
I think the slight accents of the Emerald Envy DSP and card stock really helped to offset this crazy DSP! I am so happy with the way it turned out.
Sometimes creating can be like a puzzle – the pieces fit, but, don’t really match up. Here, I just kept playing around with them until I got the right combination that matched up.
What do you think? Nice, huh?
Well. Wait. You’ve got to see what the other designers created – some very nice cards over at Create with Connie and Mary. Go check them out and play with us! It’s soo much fun!
Supplies used –
- Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Emerald Envy
- DSP – Playful Palette 6×6
- Big Shot – Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
- Other – Fine Detail Glue, Tombow Liquid Glue
Very fun, cheerful card! Those patterns work so well with the diecut heart and greeting! Great job with the sketch this week!
Thanks Connie – I struggled with this challenged……but, love what I ended up creating!!!
How fun! I love the horizontal orientation and the way that green heart just pops right off the card! Great job!
Thanks! This was after many tries. In the end, I really was pleased with it too!
I love how we used the same papers and sketch starting point yet created two totally different cards Libby! I love the accents of the green on your card and the bold sentiment and die cut.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw your card!
Just got the Sunshine thinlets…can’t wait to play with them! Love your card this week!
These are some of my favorite dies Jennifer! You’ll love them!
Great card Libby. I love the clean look and the change of orientation works really well
Thanks Tracy – I couldn’t really make it work the other way!
I really like that you used the green for the focal heart, Libby! One would tend to gravitate toward the softer pink color for something like that, but this is totally unexpected and I like that!!!
I chose the green for balance and to really be the focal here Jenny!
