Life doesn’t always go as we plan. Sometimes we are sent down a journey that we might not understand.
I recently meet a wonderful person through my demonstrator business website. She was new to the area and didn’t know anyone. She had a strong connection through her Stampin’ Up friends back in her home state. But nothing here.
We have become great stamping buddies since our find! However, she is not always feeling up to stamping because of her health. Luckily, we have the Texas Medical Center and world-class doctors just down the road. So, her new journey here begins here.
I don’t always know what to say or how to help in these situations, but I thought a little snail mail always makes people feel good. I made this card for her –
Sweet. Simple. Serene.
I loved the color sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments –
It created that feeling I was after.
Funny, to create this card, I used her borrowed stamp set, Timeless Textures.
It was just fun to layer the stamped images in the two softer colors.
After stamping, the card needed a little something. That’s when I added the card stock strips to create the flags. It created balance and tied the colors together. The vellum just softened them.
I am so pleased with the results. I think she will be so happy to receive this card!
It’s good ‘card carma’ to send out cards. It’s also good ‘carma’ to leave a comment before moving on! To do that, scroll back up. The ‘Leave a Comment’ button is under the title of the post. Thank you!

Sch a gorgeous card! I really love the layer of vellum over the flags as it adds softness and richness. I’m so glad you joined our color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Smiles, Elizabeth
