I’m guessing by now you figured out it’s not a multiple card friday! Sorry, I know those are fun – lots of cards in one place.
I do have a card share today! And, yes I was inspired by Create with Connie and Mary again today. Sort of a weekly thing these days! And, no, no fussy cut words, lol!
Here is their fabulous sketch –
Of course, my mind went to thinking.
I had a request for an anniversary card. This was the perfect layout. After a little flying card stock, a few snip of paper, and gluey fingers, I came up with this –
And, yes, I used this Rose. Again. It’s just a great thinlits set. After trying a few different focal points for this card, I just came back to the Rose Garden Thinlits one.
Initially, I thought these angled lines in the sketch were going to be an issue – hah, they were not. I even figured an easy way to execute multiples of this design. And not getting a headache from cutting angled lines!
The Silver Sale-a-Bration Washi Tape added just the right balance the card needed. And, the sketch called for it. Either way, it looks great!
I hope you like my take on the sketch as much as I do! I’d love to hear what you think!
The rose makes a beautiful focal point for your card Libby and I love the way you co-ordinated it with the Flowering Fields designer paper. The touches of silver also add a wonderful elegant feel that is perfect for an anniversary card. Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!
