Yes I can spell.
I’m feeling ‘challenged’ today as I prepare for my Card Buffet this weekend.
I took a few minutes for myself to create a card and play around with a couple of card challenges.
The first is from Match the Sketch Challenge blog. A very nice layout. See –
The other is a fun color combination from Create with Connie and Mary –
Both are quite nice starting points and had nice sample inspiration pieces on their blogs.
I played around in my head the direction I wanted to go in. I love the In Color Envelope Paper that has come out. It’s very inexpensive and can be used as DSP as well as envelopes and whatever else you think up!
Here, I used the wood grain pattern, two patterns per pack, and I cut strips and flipped it for a different look –
I purposely spaced them just far enough apart so you ‘wood’ see the two pieces here.Black just barely peeking through.
The Woodgrain Embossing Folder adds just a bit of dimension to this card. It all tied it together. ‘Wood’ you agree?
I like this reverse pattern for my background. Adds a bit of interest.
‘Wood’ you mind leaving a comment? That’d be nice.
Ok, guess I’ll get back to getting ready for my Card Buffet. If you follow me on Facebook, libbystamps, you can see more of my creations.

That wood grain DSP is totally cool and I love the way you cut it and put it together…sort of chevron-ish! The addition of the embossed woodgrain is neat too! Thanks for playing with us at Create with Connie and Mary!

I love how you have done the wood in panels! I am amazed that you used so much of the bright colors without them being overpowering – your little touches of black balance them perfectly. Thank you for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary!

So I ‘wood’ have to say that is a great combination of elements on your card Libby to give both pattern and texture – great job! Love the sentiment too – this set is becoming a ‘go to’ one for me. Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!
