Celebrate Baby Baby

As I’m looking for inspiration for my Card Buffet, I like to take time to play along the way. Not everything I make is for my classes.

As I’ve posted before, there are lots of expectant mothers to be around me. So, I guess I’m in a baby card making mood.

I have new stuff to play with too. I just need some direction. I liked this sketch from Techno Stamper. It’s their Monday Lunchtime Sketch. It just looked fun! See –

I thought it’d work well with the Celebrate Today stamp set and the Balloon Framelits Dies. I also decided to incorporate some Sale-a-Bration DSP into the mix. This is my take on the sketch –

I wasn’t sure how I’d like this stamp set and framelits. After playing around with them to create this card, I LOVE them!

I used colors from the DSP, pairing it with pink. Guess I was thinking ‘girl’, but, this could easily have been on a blue card base as well. This card just came together effortlessly. I used some retired taffeta ribbon to ‘tie’ it together. No pun intended….
