Ha. Ha. Funny title, huh?
I bought the stamp set, Day by Day some time ago. Never used it. Sadly, I’m not a scrapbooker. I don’t care how hard I try to ‘fake’ it. I’m just not. So, this stamp set did not inspire me to scrap as I thought it would. It did inspire me to create a card however.
I saw this sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I liked it.
I needed some direction, that came from another blog, The Card Concept. The theme is Back to School.
So, I went a little tongue in cheek on my card for their challenge –
……because, what teacher does NOT look forward to Fridays? LOL!!
I was once again cleaning my stamp stuff up and ran across the Paper Pumpkin from last month and saw the Hello card. I’ve seen lots of stenciled cards done with these words. Thought I might give it a try.
Working with the Chalk Marker is a bit tricky. Initially, you don’t see the outlining. It shows as it dries. And, it can be lighter in some areas. After I removed my ‘stencil’, I went over some of the areas to give it a more filled in look. I like it I must say.
The ‘Friday’ is a Photopolymer stamp that stamps quite nicely. They are really growing on me.
A very simple, straight forward card today. I love it. And, I’m sure my teacher friends will too! And, for that matter, ANYONE!
Happy Stampin’
Libby
