Happy Friday! Is it the start of Spring Break for you? For many it is.
Today I decided to really challenge myself with a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches –
It’s an interesting one, right?
And, I thought I needed some direction as this sketch really through me. So, off to a color challenge at Paper Pals Arts –
I just got my Fringe Scissors in and I was really itching to create something. And, from my recent posts, I’m on an Ombre kick too! These colors sort of looked Ombre. So, here we go, my take on this challenge –
Kind of cool, right? The sideways fringing? That was fun let me tell you! I think I got the angling correct on this card. I used vellum as my strip across and made a sort of flowery accent.
TIP. To make even fringing cuts, place a line of Sticky Strip were you’d like to stop fringing. The scissors will cut through the Sticky Strip, it’s just really difficult. It would probably mess these scissors up. After I fringed my pieces, I adhered them to a base the size I needed then trimmed it.
I am really pleased with this card. Are you? Love to read what you think!
Happy Stampin’
