Have a stamp set you like, but don’t know how to use it?
Have someone who needs some extra support and don’t know what to do?
I know two questions, stampin’ and oranges. Not really.
I wanted to make a card for someone who needs a big shoulder. But, I’m far away. So, the next best thing from me? Yep. A card!
So, I needed to create something special. Loved this sentiment, ‘Cheer Up Buttercup’ from the Geometrical Stamp Set. But, I just didn’t know how to use it in a soft, sweet way. So, I went to my Pinned Card Challenges.
I ran across this layout challenge at Always Playing With Paper –
I liked it because it’s clean and simple. A nice balance for this sort of funky sentiment.
This is what I came up with –
As you can see, I have a monochromatic pattern here, Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Melon Mambo. I forget about some of these older, still current Embossing Folders. Remember the Needlepoint Border and Adorning Accents Embossing Folders? They just added a nice little detail.
The icing on this card is the little rhinestone addition on the scallops! Sweet, huh? Almost makes you forget your feeling bad! Hopefully.
And, that’s pretty much it.
Now, I’m off to get this in the mail. Yes, it’s nice to see a ‘virtual card’ when you are down, but, it’s even nicer to receive ‘snail mail’ with goodies.
Lots of love and virtual hugs to you my dear! And, yes, Cheer Up Buttercup!
Happy Stampin’

Hi, Libby! I love your take on the sketch! The monochromatic pink is very refreshing and suits the adorable sentiment you used. It is such a great idea to use those embossing folders too! Thank you for joining me and trying out my sketch.
Hugs,
Lesley

Thanks Lesley! Love your challenges- I just don’t take the time to play around with them much. It just seemed to strike me this time!
