Have you played around with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch yet?
Have you made anything besides a tag? After you see what I did here, I bet you’re going to want to grab your punch or buy one.
I’m sure you’ve seen the style of card that you tie closed the two punched edges, right? Well, I took that one step further and made mine a note card sized card, side style. It’s just too sweet. And, an envelope liner too! Look at my photos.
It was too easy. I started with a 3 1/2 x 10 piece of card stock. Punched each end. What’s nice about this one? No marking ‘where’ to line your punch up. Your card stock fits exactly the width of the punch! Duh! (Remember, you are bypassing the center two-inch channel.)
Remove the four ‘tales’ that are left. Score one end of the punch where it hangs out. Fold it over. Measure five inches over and make another score line. When you fold that one over, it’s now 3 1/2 x 5!!! So cool! Simply decorate it.
I took a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, 2 x 3 3/8, and tag punched both ends. Made for the perfect layer around one of the Chalk Talk Framelits!!
Sale-a-Bration items really helped complete this card with the Sweet Sorbet DSP and Accessory Pack.
If you saw my Facebook posting of pictures from my Card Buffet, then you saw a sneak of this card. It was very popular too.
So, what do you think?
Happy Stampin’

I can’t wait to try this version. Lovely!
Thanks Boni for stopping to leave a comment! I love to read comments! Also, let me know if you have any questions!
Love it! I’ll just HAVE to have these punches now. Thanks Libby.
Thanks Donna for stopping to leave a comment! I love to read comments! It’s really nice to find dual purposes for all these crafty tools we have!
I’m so glad I hopped from SC to here as I did not realize this was a note card sized card. It’s so dang cute, I just love it!!! I was thrilled to get the starting measurement for the tag on the front, an unexpected bonus! It’s an adorable card; thank you for sharing and for inspiring! Warmly, Donna
Why thanks for the lovely words Donna! Makes me feel good when people take the time to leave comments. All to often, it just seem we get too busy blog surfing and don’t take the time to comment on peoples work.
I really like to think a little outside the box. And, I did so here.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me! Happy Stampin’!
Hiya Libby, You are so welcome, and thanks for your note to me also! If you checked me out on SC at any given time (or just go to My Page, my avatar is a pug), you will see I just cannot refrain from commenting on all the things that I love so much! Unfortunately, I don’t make the time for blogs… I hopped here to see the stamp set used although figured it out and have both! 🙂 I’m ready to do the stamping now and will be done; woo hoo! I TRULY LOVE YOUR WORK (again, I see you on S.C.)… I am a FAN! Yep! You’re most welcome again for my time (whilst in return, I appreciate your sharing!!!). Stay well! Warmly, Donna
Such a Pretty Card, I gave it to a friend for her birthday and she just kept talking about how pretty it was. Will definitely use this to make more!
I just LOVE to hear that you gave it away! As paper crafters, we seem to want to keep everything. It brings us so much joy to pass along our handmade creations to others!
I think we’ll do another version this month. I liked the note card size it is.
