Clearly, Hello? Whaaaat, as my daughter would say.
And, that is just who these cards are for, my daughters. Packages are always such fun to receive. Especially if they are filled with goodies and a handmade card, of course!
This card, I thought was sort of funny. I am a big recycler and love to repurpose items. This card is no different. The HELLO sentiment came from a container of make up I purchased. It was covering the actual foundation in the compact – how cute is that? So, naturally I had to save it for a later use! Then, I got another package of make up. And, another HELLO. It’s like a printed window sheet. And, to me, a paper crafter, a gift with purchase! Yay!
I pulled these out today and went directly to some card challenges. First, I came across SUO Challenges, challenge #76 where you had to make ‘Kards for Kids’. My colors I went with are very kid like I thought. And, these cards are for my kids, so that definitely counts, right?
Next, I went to Freshly Made Sketches for the layout or card design. This is challenge #98 for them. I just loved this layout for these HELLO clear sheets. It was perfect.
The layering on this card is really interesting too. The outer layers are reversed from the small square bordering layers for the window sheet. The addition of the Whisper White card stock sheet on the inside of the card really helped to clearly see the HELLO sentiment. I added a couple of retired Stampin’ Up buttons tied with dyed bakers twine. That was fun. Not! And, the finishing touches. Pretty, happy, fun ribbon tied using a really neato trick I learned at Convention. I’ll have to figure out how to explain that one.
So, now you see. Clearly, these are two awesome cards following two awesome card challenges! Oh ya, for two awesome ‘kids’! Lol!
Happy Stampin’

This is surely a favorite for me – the bright primary colors, the CAS style – it’s awesome in it’s simplicity – the very best kind of creativity in my opinion!!
