Happy Birthday Mom!
Yep, that’s right, today is my mom’s birthday! So, I’ll say it again, Happy Birthday Mom!
I ran across a card challenge that inspired me at Paper Craft Crew this week. This is card sketch #51. It was just perfect to try playing around with the printed window sheet from the Quatrefancy Specialty paper.
I started by layering the printed window sheet on a Raspberry Ripple note card sized base. I chose the note card size to get more use/cuts out of the window sheet. That way, if I choose this for my Card Buffet, I can get more from one sheet! As a demonstrator, you have to conserve and make a sheet go as far as you can!
Back to the card. I adhered the window sheet with glue dots for less visibility. Tied a bow around that and just started adding elements. I love these flags from the hostess set, Banner Greetings. Made three and adhered those to, yes, toothpicks! The fancy ones with the decorative tops!
I used the retired die, Billboard Alphabet, for the word, mom. Added a nice touch I thought.
All in all, I love this monochromatic birthday card for my mom. It’s just lovely.
Please give me a shout out about it. I’d love to hear (read) what you think.
