Happy Monday Mornin’! Starting off my week with yet another card challenge. I am working on creating the designs for my upcoming Card Buffet and will this be one of them? Mother’s Day card will be one of the choices. This looks nice. Mmmmm, I’ll have to think about it.
My inspiration today comes from two places. The design or layout of the card I got from Create with Connie and Mary, CCM247. Nice, simple sketch. I made mine a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card size. Their sketch looks like a square card.
And, the colors I used, Island Indigo, Baha Breeze, Crumb Cake, and Rich Razzleberry came from The Paper Players color challenge. Very nice colors together!
In combining the two challenges, it made for a wonderful starting point for this card! I chose the Secret Garden stamp set from the Spring Mini as my main focal point. The one flower, I stamped 3 times and made a layered effect with the way I cut it out. My favorite thing on this card would have to be the tiny scalloped border along the right side of the Baha Breeze panel. I made it using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. Yes, done that recently – but, it just adds that touch! I know you’ll see it again too!
Happy Stampin’
