I love to make Poinsettia flowers. So, I came up with the 4th card for my November stamp class –
It is stunning in person!
SS – Tiny Tags
B – B
I – Old Olive
CS – River Rock, Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold
DSP – Jolly Holiday
P – 5 Petal Flower, 2 Step Bird, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Tiny Tag Punch
I think these are all the supplies I used! Ummmm. Just let me know if I forgot something.
The base of the card is a retired Long Note in River Rock. One of the other Long Notes from the pack was used in the door card . Those are great *go to* items for classes, and personal uses.
The poinsettia were made in layers. For each flower, punch out (1) Cherry Cobbler 5 Petal Flower, (5) Cherry Cobbler wings from the 2 Step Bird in and (3) Old Olive wings from the 2 Step Bird Punch. Assemble as shown. I like the *look* that the bird gives the flower – some depth and dimension. People did just punch 2 5 Petal Flowers and call it a poinsettia, and that’s ok too. For me, I like the extra steps for the added *look*. The leaves were also from the 2 Step Bird Punch. The added Brushed Gold center was a soft touch to finish off the poinsettia flower.
Hope you like it – leave a comment – I like comments!
