I can’t even repeat it. The time draws closer . . . . . . . . . and closer.
For the this weeks post, I combined 2 ideas I had on my *list* as to what to do for my 12 Weeks ’til Christmas. I combined an ornament and a picture frame. And, viola –
I started out with chipboard. It’s Stampin’ Up, of course, but not from the catalog, the usual place. It was from a package of DSP that I got from Stampin’ Up! This stuff was too heavy to throw out. So, I saved it for something such as this. See how nicely the Big Shot cut right through it? Every scallop is detailed to the last curve!
Supplies for this were simple. Big Shot. Scallop Square Bigz Die. Card Stock – Brushed Gold, Basic Black, Old Olive, & Real Red. Retired Library Clip. Martha Stewart Punch. Hole Punch. Gold Tassel. Tombow for the delicate stems and berries.
You could also make a chalkboard or something with *bare* frame –
Simple elegance ya think?
I recommend you adhere your card stock color of choice, mine is Brushed Gold, to the chip board *before* running it through the Big Shot Scallop Square Die. Why? Because everything will be aligned perfectly. I used the Crop – a –Dile to punch a hole for the tassel.
This will definitely be going on my tree – as soon as it goes up!
Happy Stampin’
