Eight. That’s all I will say.
This weeks project was inspired by a recent trip to Boston and an art school that we briefly visited, MassART. They provided perspective students with a handy pocket guide to portfolio submission.
I thought it was extremely helpful, but I also envisioned my next Christmas item –
Tada! It is stinkin’ cute I must say. The inside can be for a mini picture book (that’s what I will use mine for), journaling Christmas memories, or whatever you want it to be for.
The words I chose were *adorable* (find something that is adorable this holiday season), *giggle* (because usually something that’s adorable, often leads to giggling), *cherish* (because something that’s adorable & makes you giggle often is cherished) and lastly, *happiness* (combining all these leads to . . . . . . happiness!!).
Pattern. It’s quite simple. Cut 8 1/2 x 11 into 2 pieces, 4 1/4 x 11. Score one at 2 3/4, 5 1/2, & 8 1/2. Accordion fold. The other piece is the *pocket* outside. Trim to 4 1/4 x 9. Score 4 1/2. Rotate. Score 1 /2 & 3 3/4. Trim away the lower portion scored. Apply Sticky Strip or Tombow adhesive. Check the *patterns* tab above later in the day.
Basic supplies. 1 sheet of Poppy Parade Card Stock (got to be fair and try to explore all of our *red* colors). Scraps of Whisper White and Basic Black. Glimmer Brads (holiday mini). Scallop Rectangle Clearlit Die. Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. Stiff felt for the white trim. Tiny Heart Punch. Scrap gold card stock (to tie in the buckle of course!). Retired stamp set, Warm Words.
And, the *unique* item is the belt. Can you guess what it is? Nope. Try again.
It is from a luggage tag. Thought I *collected* some weird items, this came from Carolyn. “What on earth are you doing with this bag of leather luggage things?” I asked her. She gave one to me and replied, “I don’t know, but I bet you can figure something out with them!”
And, sure enough, she challenged me, and I made something with it!
Happy Stampin’
Libby
Oh Libby, this is just beautiful. The perfect card/gift to sent to the relatives overseas! Thyanks for the inspiration.
This is really neat, and I plan to use it. I’m wondering where the tutorial is for the tea bag holder that you did a couple of weeks ago.
This is really cute and useful!
