My daughter Emily is a Junior (ok, that’s hard to write) at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (http://hspva.org/dhtml/).
And, if you are familiar with having a child that wishes to pursue art in college, then you might have heard of National Portfolio Day (http://portfolioday.net/). The events are few and far between, as they are held across the country. Basically, all these colleges meet, look at your students artwork and give them recommendations about admissions, scholarships, and all that great college stuff.
Well, we are *very* fortunate to have our very own, private *Portfolio Day*, (it’s actually 3 days) at her school! And it is a BIG deal. It start today! And lots of colleges/universities will be spending one on one attention with each student and looking at their artwork.
She is well prepared – but a little *Good Luck* never hurt anyone.
The base is 3×6 Basic Black, with a Whisper White top. You can barely tell, but the top of the card stops right above the retired, Basic Black Gingham Ribbon. I used Awash with Flowers and Fundamental Phrases stamp sets, both stamped with Basic Black Ink. And, of course, I went over the stamping with, you guessed it – my Gelly Roll pen. Can’t get enough of the Gelly Roll these days………Ah, back to the card – the styling is very neat and clean – just what Emily likes.
(I failed to include links in yesterday’s post as to what *One Piece* was. So, I included links today about what I posting – in case you are interested.)
Best of Luck Emily –
Libby
