This is a card for my daughter Emily who started, tear, her Junior year of high school. More tears.
You have to make these cards really simple – teens don’t seem to like a lot of fluff.
And, Emily goes to a high school for the arts. If I ask, she will give me a run down on color, composition, aesthetics and whatever else! So, well, I just keep it simple. What is written on the inside is the important stuff anyway.
(Oh my is the picture bright!!!! The card is now in her possession – so who knows where it is at to take another picture of it.)
Quick run of what I used– Whisper White, Real Red and Basic Black card stock. Versamark, and Versamark with White Embossing Powder. My favorite, Wood Sheets. A new punch, Extra Large Decorative Label Punch from the upcoming Holiday Mini. The apples and greeting are from the retiring stamp set First Day. The ribbon is from my stash of Stampin Up. Her school colors are red and gray – so this really fit the bill.
Well Emily, I hope your Junior year of high school is an exciting one! Tear….tear..tear…………tear.
Happy Stampin’
Libby
