Good Luck on your first day back at school is what I say! I just love the new set from the mini! There are soo many cute stamps – I choose to use just the words, numbers, alphabet, and 1 of the little apples in a row.
When I designed this card, I knew immediately that I was going to make it for Convention. It did not sit on my shelf until I decided. See for yourself how cute this is –
SS – Fundamental Phrases, First Day (Summer Mini)
B – D, G, H
I – Craft White, Versa Mark
CS – Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
P – Word Window
R – Daffodil Delight
O – Wood Sheets (these are marvelous!!!), Real Red & Garden Green Markers, White Embossing Powder, Stamp-a-ma-jig
I worked on the chalkboard first. Stamp the sentiment to be embossed and do that first. After that, stamp the numbers and alphabet at the top and bottom. (If you do this first, you will get embossing powder on the image and it will not look the same.)
I then added my Wood Sheet strips to make the chalkboard with Tombow Adhesive. This I popped up on Dimensionals when added to the card.
To give the background a little texture, I stamped A to Z on the Real Red in Versa Mark.
The Good Luck is from the Fundamental Phrases (a must have set!). It was embossed and punched out using the Word Window.
The rest is just basic assembly! Since my darling little ones are in High School and College – I will duplicate these in their school colors for them!
Happy Swappin’
