Happy Monday!

Starting the week off the week with a Design Team challenge for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge –

I took this sketch in a different direction using the same elements –

First off, I made a mini slim sized card. Then, instead of a window, I used stamped cute bunny images from the Springtime Joy stamp set, punched from the Postage Stamp Punch.

The sweet little eggs, instead of flowers, are from the Birds & More Dies. They add another layer of cuteness to this sweet card.

The sentiment is from the retiring Arrange A Wreath stamp set.

I can not wait to get this card into the mail. It will bring joy to the recipient.

Tree Trimming The Town

Here is our newest color challenge –

Love these fun Christmas colors! How about you?

I decided to do what several others did – use the Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper, but a little different!

The green strip pattern is actually diagonal. I cut it to make it horizontal. Then I took two other patterns and cut strips added them in between the stripes!

I started with a nice rectangle trying to decide what to do with the newly created patterned paper. I remembered I hadn’t used these Stitched Triangle Dies yet!

And so it was created! A lovely, stylish Christmas tree!

Now, to decide what looks better, a regular A2 card or a mini slim. Mini slim won for me!

I stamped the sentiment from the In the Pines Dies. I thought the tree still needed a bit of something so I added the Silver Foil bow and star. Done.

Such a sweet card!

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest two-week challenge –

Optional Theme : Wreath or Foilage

Great idea as I am designing cards for my annual Christmas card class.

Simply sweet as I’d like to say.

I due cut the same wreath design from the Wreath Builder Dies in two colors and adhered them askew.

I placed them on a strip of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. I made the bottom a banner by cutting up the center about 1/4″ and making a diagonal cut from each end to the top of the cut in the center. Easy, easy, when you want a quick flag look.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment nice and sharp.

Lastly, I added a bow made from Real Red 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim. It added texture and dimension for the card. I love it!

We Create – Don’t Stamp So Close to Me

Hello! Glad to see you today!

How about a hop this afternoon?

Our theme today is a card with minimal or no stamping.

I think I got this –

Why yes, another fall card!

I created this sweet punched and embossed pumpkin as my starting point. The Apple Builder Punch pairs nicely with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder.

I decided the pumpkin would look great next to a wreath, so I made one using the Wreath Builder Dies. I used Garden Green, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive for the colors of the wreath.

The pumpkin needed a bow. So this Merry Merlot one also came from the Wreath Builder Dies.

Lastly, the sentiment is simple using the Playful Alphabet Dies to say, HI.

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas in July

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features Christmas in July!

I got this lovely Arrange a Wreath bundle when the new Stampin’ Up! catalog came out in June. Yes, I needed another wreath set, lol! So, perfect time to pull it out –

I love the fact that this set has multiple holidays in it. Great all around set.

I used Just Jade, Shaded Spruce, and Real Red for the wreath. I added the Gold Foil double bow which is also included in the set of dies.

I stamped the sentiment then used the Simply Scored to score the panel every 1/4″ before adding the wreath. It added a nice detail to the card.

This would be a nice, elegant, easy card to reproduce quickly.
