Our theme is Awning Cards.
I admit, I don’t think I’ve ever made an awning card. You know how doors and windows sometimes have awnings over them for shade? Well, that apparently works with card making too! And, it makes for some cute card designs.
I pulled out some new Stampin’ Up Designer Series Paper for this design. I notice that in small towns, they tend to decorate the windows according to seasons – and, fall, who doesn’t love fall!?!? That was my inspiration!
I photographed my card as it was lying flat. But that didn’t really show off the ‘awning’.

I used Acetate Window Sheets for the window.
I thought the pumpkins and sentiment looked best on the inside peeking through the opening, just like a real window!
This card was also minimally stamped. The pumpkins were cut from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper! The awning was also trimmed according to the circles in the pattern. So easy!
