Happy Tuesday!

I am hoping you had a blessed giving thanks day! I know we sure did. Now, I am having to get into the swing of things. Again. The start of an even busier season!

I’ll start off with a design team card for Try Stampin on Tuesday.

We have a rather great sketch to work with again! See for yourself –

Challenge #299. Theme : Love the Season

It’s pretty classic. I knew right away how I wanted to use this.

I created a pretty simple card for this layout.

I started by punching the trees with the retired Tree Punch. I felt the card ‘needed’ something. So I went back and added the Vellum with the heart in the center. Sort of the perfect touch! And, goes with that ‘Love the Season’ theme!

The sentiment and the Baker’s Twine were added according to the sketch. Perfect addition for a Christmas card.

It’s a lovely card that would be very easy to recreate to send out to multiple people!

Hooray Birthday Girl

My share today is a quick one. Because it’s a quick card. It’s from my last Card Buffet. I realized I hadn’t shared it yet.

It was a popular one because it was so simple. I like to throw in different cards in to the mix.

Isn’t this just fun? Can’t beat a card that uses washi tape, right? And, I’m lovin’ our Chalkboard Paper too. It’s quite thick and substantial. It’s more card stock than ‘paper’. I highly recommend it. I used the Colorbox Chalk pads here too.

We tried a comparison at class with regular Basic Black Card Stock and Chalkboard Paper. The Chalkboard Paper won hands down. The color is much more vibrant. Remember, you’re stamping on black, which is a challenge in it self.

Can you guess what the pennants are punched from? Hint. It’s not the Petite Pennants Punch. You’ll be surprised. Scroll to my supply list to see what we used.

Wonderful Gold Gift

Ahhhhh. Monday……

I wanted to share this gift card holder today because it’s pretty. It makes me happy. And, it’s simple of course. It’s the holidays. No one has time for elaborate crafty projects right now. They just need to ‘look’ elaborate, right?

It’s a great 3-D holder.

I used a 3 x 11 strip of card stock, here Naturals Ivory because it’s thick. Scored it at 4 3/4 and 6 1/4.

The insert is 3 x 3 1/2. Scored at 3/4, 1 3/4, 2 3/4. I adhered it with Sticky Strip.

Then I decorated the outside. Easy as that.

Christmas Tree Cheer

Happy Friday! Today is last share from my Christmas Card Class. Whew. Lots of fun. Lots of work. Lots of cutting.

I sort of went in order of the reactions that I got on the cards at the classes. Yesterdays card and todays card seemed to be very popular. It was a toss-up for me.

What do you think –

In the class, the trees were Brushed Gold, Gold Foil and Gold Glimmer Paper. which was literally the icing on the cake. It made the card. But, I didn’t change my samples to reflect that.

Gorgeous Grunge was used again here too. I think that is really a must have stamp. It’s quite versatile.

One again, simple stamping and some punching. It’s all in how you put it together.
